Sin is commonly considered to be the god of the weird and the abnormal. Those that are shunned by society, either because of weird, bad, harmful or illogical habits, or because society is hateful, are loved by Sin. Sin is weird him/herself, being the only non-gender god and always questioning the methods of all the other gods. It always wants to brake traditions formed by the gods. The only reason it hasn't yet forged a race of its own is because the other gods stop it with brute force. Sin is always thinking up new arguments against tradition and currently upheld laws. He was created by <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Vanessa&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="6EGkBpMqVwAsdAS6gZodtMFKEXWql6oxmD03RByTrHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> as the first among the slemmering.

Dreaming

Sin is the god of the slemmering and a slemmering himself. For anyone who knows anything about the behaviour of the slemmering it should not come as a surprise Sin is the god of dreams. His worshippers will try and influence the dreams of others by whispering certain words or by using scents. Skilled worshippers and many priests use the influencing of dreams as a form of therapy.

Revolt

Sin is the god who is chronic allergic to all forms of traditions and other forms of order. His worshippers try to change all sorts of order. This is done in many from using solid arguments to change a law to starting a full scale rebellion to overthrow the current ruling of a town or city. Worshippers pray for a spark of rebellion during their plots for a revolt and for aid during the revolt itself.

Intoxication

Sin is very fond of all the things that when consumed cloud the mind and cause all sorts of random visions. Worshippers use all sorts of drugs to cause hallucinations and influence moods. Most priests to Sin carry shrooms and alcohol. Some Sin temples will contain heavier and more dangerous drugs.

Angels Of Sin

Sin's angels, the underlings, are almost as slaves to the mortals, usually the slemmering. The underlings are small humanoid creatures that gather things like food, make-up, playthings, pillows, massage oil and books for the (sleeping) mortal. Sometimes they bring these things to the friends of the mortal they are attached to. The more intelligent underlings can even read and carry letters from one to the other person. The happier a worshipper of Sin is, the more underlings he attracts. Most have none, but some powerful people have armies of underlings. Some slemmering have many underlings that carry their fat body around on hundreds of little feet.

Deamons Of Sin

Sin's deamons, the giants, are simply really big versions of the slemmering. Sin intended them to be his new race, and he actually split the slemmering to create them, however the giants were cursed by the primary and secondary gods and demoted from mortals to deamons. This made the giants ever more aggressive and dumb than the slemmerings. Their aggressive nature provides enough movement to the giants to make them less fat than the slemmerings, usually.

Some legends say that Sin rebelled against the rest of the gods that judged him from being "different" and actually saved a few giants from being turned into deamons. If these smart and friendly giants exist, they now hide from all the mortals and angels, afraid that they would have to face the wraith of the gods if they are ever found and hide from all the demons to, being pure good creatures by heart, hand-picked by Sin himself.

Good versus Evil

Good Sin worship involves creating creative dreams by using whispers and scents, Changing laws by convincing the powers who create and enforce them and using drugs to expand the mind. Evil Sin worship involves creating nightmares, starting bloody revolts and create bad trips by intoxicating and scaring people.

Symbols:

Sin is never depicted in any constant form. Worshippers draw Sin in all sorts of shapes. usually to indicate one is drawing Sin his colour is a chaos star is drawn in the background or in the corner. Symbols often used in rituals/altars of Sin are: The colour Purple-greenish
The animal is a sea pig
Sins musical instrument is mostly a combination of two or more instruments. For example a cello horn
Patches of flesh, bone and hair, stitched together to form a humanoid creature the size of an underling.
Very small or large objects that should not be that size. (This could be anything, as long as it is now large while it is normally small, or the other way around. An example of this is a tiny wooden hut.)
Important documents that have been rewritten backwards, either letter for letter or words for word.
Symbols of law that are burned during the ritual (ranking symbols of guards for instance or important law documents)
Nicknames for Sin are: Bane of order, Father of the wicked, the one who is many.

Mandate of Sin

Apart from the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=General%20mandate%20of%20the%20gods&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="AXyiRsjNzP9icKnsWU8TVE6H7Pxa10AkNnVyswAtuHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> Sin has expressed the following wishes from her followers.

General Sin

Be intoxicated to expand your mind

Have creative dreams

Spread chaos

Good Sin

Change laws and rules by applying these very laws and rules

Demand a method to change laws and rules is embedded in the laws or rules

Evil Sin

Revolt against laws and rules

Trap people in dreams

Out of character inspiration

Michael Cheval - Absurdist painter.
Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 03-08-2009 17:27 Mon, 03 Aug 2009 15:27:07 +0000 Anonymous 828 at https://heimr.nl https://heimr.nl/setting/sin#comments Tahordyn https://heimr.nl/setting/tahordyn Tahordyn
Tahordyn is the goddess of protection, charity and temperance. It teaches that all persons are born equal, and that people should be treated as such. If people are weak, they are born weak and natural selection will try to root them out. Therefore we should help these poor souls and lift their spirit up so they can carry life once again. Tahordyn spends almost all her time protecting the weaker. She directly and instantly saves people from terrible fates. Tahordyn actively hates the strong and elite, but never destroys them; she claims their arrogance will do the work for her.

She is the first among the feyfolk and she is created by <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Ranimsul&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="sx2vHzQGszksSeXwLjveVUGNY04lvxJEC4gtGq0qY0o"></drupal-filter-placeholder>.

Protection

Protection, Something many will pray for. Tahordyn is said to grant her protection to all who need it. Despite this knowledge not many in positions of power will pray to her in fear of her hatred for the elite. Those who consider themselves strong and many priests of Tahordyn honour her by protecting the weak and feeble.

Charity

Charity is a popular aspect to honour and pray for to Tahordyn. Worshippers often form groups to collect food and money and give these things to the poor. Others form groups to both gather food and money and shelter for those in need.

Temperance

Many use this aspect of Tahordyn to honour her. Large churches to Tahordyn hold great meditation events where the worshippers and priests eat and drink a days worth of bread and water in a week. This is said to cleanse the mind and remind them of the needs of the poor and hungry. Temperence is also used to save up food and drink for those in need.

Good versus Evil

Good worshippers to Tahordyn will build or buy shelters from where they will help the weak and poor with food water and medical help. They also try to raise those people to higher positions and educate them in the arts of temperance. Evil worshippers will protect the weak and sick but steal from them aswell. They frequently poison the local elite or even kill them in order to even the odds

Symbols

The colour most commonly associated with Tahordyn is white.
Her symbolic animal is the squirrel.
Tahordyn's most commonly associated musical instrument is the flute.
Tahordyn is often depicted as a humanoid looking feyfolk holding a shield with a hand holding coins painted on it. Usually she is painted standing in front of weak looking creatures of all races holding up their hands to either defend themselves or for charity. She is also depicted holding an upside down pyramid with strong looking men and women on the bottom and babies and elderly on top.
Symbols for Tahordyn are: A shield, A hand offering coins or food, a small statue of a meditating humanoid looking feyfolk and upside down pyramids.
Nicknames for Tahordyn are: Mother of the weak, Chartable one and Protector of all

Angels Of Tahordyn

Her Angels, the Treemen, are slow but massively strong walking trees who protect the wild against enemies that venture too far into their territory and scare away people who come to close to the centre of the forest.

Deamons Of Tahordyn

Tahordyn's deamons are the trilliopedes. These are insects, somewhat like centipedes, but much much longer and with many more legs. Trilliopedes will crawl into houses where the inhabitants need protection, and take up residence with them. Trilliopedes will violently protect against anyone attempting to harm one of it's inhabitants. In return for the protection, the trilliopede will start stealing from the inhabitants and store it to give to others who need it. It teaches that people are not born equal, and that people should not be treated as such. If people are weak, they are born weak and the natural law will, and should, root them out.

Nantillion almost never interferes all he does is motivate people to help themselves, instead of them helping directly. A very motivated (or strong) person will be said to " be "Blessed" by Nantillion. This can both be said as a compliment or a warning ("Don't obsess over this one goal of yours!"). Nantillion hates the weak and insecure, but never seeks to harm them; he claims their weakness will do the work for him. Nantillion is generally motivating and will often preach "self-improvement".

Health

Nantillion is the god of health though many who are in need of health wont ask Nantlillion for it. Especially the weak and feeble do not dare to pray for better health. Priests to Nantillion often grant the strong who come to pray for health the opportunity for food or other nourishment. Other worshippers try and live healthy lives to honour Natilllion exchanging diet and exercise methods to improve health.

Challenge

Challenge, It is said that due to Nantllions Shanata nature he has taken the aspect of challenge. His own race often pray for physical challenges to cross their path. Other worshippers pray for help with challenges or for challenges to cross someone else's path . Priests will create challenges to test worshippers strength, wits and faith as a from of initiation and regular renewal of the faith.

Independence

Independence is something not many mortals pray for. Worshippers who wish to honour Nantillion in this way wander the lands of Heimr alone and shun villages and cities. Many hermits pray to Nantillion for the opportunity of wildlife or other factors that will sustain their independence.

Good versus Evil

Good religions dedicated to Nantillion challenge all worshippers on entering and frequently during ceremonies. The strong and the healthy will help each other improve and the strongest test themselves by surviving alone for day's ,months even years. Evil cults throw young children into the wilderness to test their independence. They will try to become the elite in certain villages and kill the weak and ones in need of help. The challenges evil worshippers put others trough are harsh and often deadly when failed.

Symbols

The colour most commonly used to symbolise Nantillion is black.
His animal symbols are stags and snakes, symbolizing challenge and health respectively.
Although not by official sources, the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=renders&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="vFpePXR879_6YD4YVhuXYLDgvPRUdNpm4pJYutskNMk"></drupal-filter-placeholder> are often associated with Nantillion.
The musical instrument associated with Nantillion is the oboe.
Nantillion is often depicted as a strong shanata standing on top of a pyramid. The pyramid often has mortals climbing it and stands on top of mortals who beg and seem weak. Symbols for Nantillion are pyramids with a box on top that stands for the challenge and reward. Hills with many dead trees and one strong tree in the centre. Other pictures and paintings of hierarchy are often seen as symbols to Nantillion.
Nicknames for Nantillion are: Helper of the strong, Bane of the weak, The independent one and The challenger.

Angels of Nantillion

Nantillion's angels, the hellivoorn is a creature with the body of a stag and the wings of a bird. They inspire people to stop complaining about their problems and act out to improve the situations they find themselves in.

Deamons of Nantillion

His demons, the passion reapers, are beings that eat away the passion in the heart of mortal beings. This degrades them to start complaining about their problems instead of acting to improve the situation. The victims lose their motivation for their tasks and their problems will grow, while they get more depressed over it. Passion reapers are drawn to weak persons, making them even weaker by proxy and causing a downwards spiral. They feed on the powerful negative energy's and aura's expressed by weak persons. As with most demons, the older the servitar, the stronger it will become. The oldest of the passion reapers are able to degrade even the strongest of minds into a shambling wreck. In it's weakest form passion reapers look like two floating sickles connected with a chain. As they grow in power they gain strings of energy that they hang from the chain, forming a hairy creature with sickles sticking out, eventually gaining new chains and sickles.

Mandate of Nantillion

Apart from the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=General%20mandate%20of%20the%20gods&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="AXyiRsjNzP9icKnsWU8TVE6H7Pxa10AkNnVyswAtuHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> Nantillion has expressed the following wishes from her followers.

General Nantillion

Challenge the strong

Don't help the weak

Good Nantillion

Don't deprive people of lessons by solving their problems.

Evil Nantillion

Harm the weak

Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 03-08-2009 17:27 Mon, 03 Aug 2009 15:27:07 +0000 Anonymous 826 at https://heimr.nl https://heimr.nl/setting/nantillion#comments Tal'Kinita https://heimr.nl/setting/talkinita Tal'Kinita
Tal'kinita is the goddess of rest, ancestry and decay. Those who do, however, build elaborate temples filled with pillows, soft light and the smell of incense, all designed to make those who dwell inside these temples as restful as possible. Yet there is also a darker side, the application of what is called the "Final Rest". While death comes naturally, some followers of Tal'kinita would rather kill others to grant them their Final Rest sooner, usually out of a belief that certain mortals can only rest in the afterlife.

Ancestry

Ancestry is the remembrance of one's ancestors, of those people that formed you. One of the oldest rituals concerning ancestry is the funeral ceremony performed by many <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Troll%7CTrolls&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="1Hm5_1b52xn2trxA4dYDyJptX6_3fvPT2ZloZG4jtTw"></drupal-filter-placeholder>. Trolls will consume the heart of their dead kin during these ceremonies because they believe they will gain the strength and wisdom of those that died through this ritual. There are also more evil forms of worship, with eradication of entire family trees and genocide being some of the most extreme forms. Yet the simplest form of Ancestry worship is that of respecting one's elders and caring for them when they can no longer care for themselves.

Decay

It is a simple fact of the world of Heimr that everything, eventually, decays. Even the most potent Primordial automata will, given enough time, decay. Often this is considered an evil thing, as many followers of Tal'kinita are tempted to accelerate this process. Yet the concept itself is not evil, for there are situations where decay needs to happen before new things can grow. Those followers of Tal'kinita dedicated to more good varieties tend to make sure decay can happen rather than making sure everything decay as fast as possible. In their view, while everything will decay, those forms of decay that help other living things are to be encouraged. For example, they will make large compost heaps that tend to crawl with bugs living off the trash. They also prefer to bury their dead. or if that is not possible, simply leaving the bodies out in the open to decay.

Good versus Evil

Tal'kinita is generally considered to be slightly evil. However, this is more due to the evil elements of her portfolio rather than any real evil alignment. All three aspects tend to involve a lot of death and killing, whereas the good ways of worship are not as obvious and tend to involve calm ceremonies more aimed at long term effects. Thus, some followers of Tal'kinita consider evil worship to be "the easy way out" and look down on these worshippers. Yet in the eyes of Tal'kinita they are equal.

Symbols

Normal ravens are commonly associated with Tal'kinita, since Valravens can often be found among them. Specific signs of decay, like wilted flowers are also used. Large, branching trees are often used to a depict family history and through that, ancestry. Large Troll temples often include several such trees. Pillows, beds, a blazing hearth are used as symbols of rest - indeed, some temples of Tal'kinita are large spaces filled with nothing but pillows, couches and beds.

Tal'kinita herself tends to be depicted as a troll female, wearing a simnple cloth robe that seems to constantly decay and grow back. She is often depicted lounging on large pillows on top of a compost heap. She is also depicted talking to groups of people, that are clearly depicted as several generations of the same lineage.

Angels of Tal'kinita

Valraven are Tal'kinita's angels. These are large - often human sized or larger - ravens with claws and light blue eyes. While younger valravens are black, older tend to slowly turn grey and later even white. Valravens fly around Heimr in search for the dying and are often seen as a sign of bad luck due to that. Yet often they merely want to ensure the last wishes of the dying are carried out, even keeping lonely people company until they die, to then send word to the dead's kin.

Daemons of Tal'kinita

As her deamons, Tal'Kinita created the ghouls. Ghouls are hunched over humanoid creatures with a head that resembles that of a hyena. Ghouls are most often found in quiet places, like deserts and mountains. They will seek out or dig up fresh corpses to consume them. However, if they cannot find any, they will ensure corpses are made - either by killing people or making others kill, though they prefer properly rotting corpses. They will tear the corpse apart, eating specific parts that it uses to enhance its own body. The leftovers will be strewn around to accelerate and spread the decay.

Zombies and Fon-Ewe

Zombies and Fon-Ewe are constructs that are often associated with Tal'kinita since most of the known rituals to create them involve ancestry. To create a zombie, a willing ancestor spirit is asked to inhabit a dead body which it can then use to do whatever their creator asks of them. The spirit can leave the body whenever it desires and can thus always refuse to perform tasks asked of it. Yet, as long as the spirit is willing, the Zombie can be made to perform more complicated tasks, only limited by the disintegrating body it inhabits.

Fon-ewe, on the other hand, are constructs made from a pile of rotting flesh that is molded into a roughly humanoid shape. A spirit - usual that of an enemy or an enemy's ancestor - is then forced to inhabit this body and forced to carry out simple tasks. These can range from "Pick up that rock and carry it to our village" to "Guard this area and destroy anyone entering it", but cannot be much more complicated. For example, "Guard this area and destroy anyone except those saying the right password" would already be too complicated, which means using them as guards is risky at best. Fon-ewe exist for a set amount of time after which the spirit will leave and usually start to hunt for those who bound it to the rotting body.

Mandate of Tal'kinita

Apart from the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=General%20mandate%20of%20the%20gods&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="AXyiRsjNzP9icKnsWU8TVE6H7Pxa10AkNnVyswAtuHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> Tal'kinita has expressed the following wishes from her followers.

General Tal'kinita

Do not disturb anyone's rest needlessly

Remember your ancestors, and ensure your descendants remember them too

Help that which is dying or dead, to decay into nothing

Good Tal'kinita

Give those in need of rest, alive or dead, the freedom to have it

Help those in need of wisdom, to know the wisdom of their ancestors

Disrupt intentions to unnaturally halt the decay of things

Evil Tal'kinita

Destroy the entire ancestral line of your enemies

Don't give your enemies time to naturally decay but burn/eat or destroy their bodies completely instead.

Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 03-08-2009 17:27 Mon, 03 Aug 2009 15:27:07 +0000 Anonymous 825 at https://heimr.nl https://heimr.nl/setting/talkinita#comments Zalsz https://heimr.nl/setting/zalsz Zalsz
Zalsz was forbidden to split the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Lizardman&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="9DdQ5hpoUvouWRoc2LcZehfMDVdXr99Nwe33a1wJm3E"></drupal-filter-placeholder>, and has not created a race of his own. The most common way to honour Zalsz this way is to keep accurate track of time and celebrate various points in the time of life. Lizardmen build huge temples that they can track time with, using the position of the sun and moon.

Destruction

Many destroy for various reasons. Zalsz is often worshipped by destroying old houses and other buildings so new structures can be made with the materials and newly acquired space. Some lizardmen cults build their temple only to destroy them again and build a more advanced temple using what they have learned building the previous one. Worshippers pray to Zalsz to destroy evil enemies or diseases.

Engineering

Engineering especially making and drawing schematics of devices to track time, is a popular way of worshipping Zalsz. Priests to Zalsz ask worshippers to bring something they made for him and burn this as an offering. This is also a symbol of destruction Lizardmen who build huge temples in his honour often engineer traps and many other gizmo's that either do or don't serve a specific purpose.

Good versus Evil

Good worshippers of Zalsz often track the time and celebrate many points in ones lifetime. They destroy old abandoned villages and either leave the room or use the materials to build a new village or temple. Evil worshippers to Zalsz cover other creatures in resin in attempt to imitate the ability of a gorgon and freeze them in time. They destroy all sorts of things in order for renewal and whatever they engineer they use for destruction.

Symbols

The colour most commonly associated with Zalsz is beige.
His animal symbol is a lizard
The musical instrument associated with Zalsz is the organ
Zalsz is often depicted as a young mature or old lizardman holding or standing in front of an hourglass.
Symbols to Zalsz are: an hourglass, a trebuchet or catapult and a broken hourglass or broken building. A clock or pocket watch that no longer works. Tools used for engineering like a wrench or a gear can also bee seen as symbols to Zalsz.
Nicknames for Zalsz are: Engineer/ Lord/ Father of time and Bringer of destruction.

Angels Of Zalsz

As his angels, Zalsz created the fate spinners. These are spidery women with the power to look deep into a person's soul. There they can see a person's true nature and understand their fate. The more powerful fate spinners can literally weave new patterns into a person's soul, changing their very nature. The fate spinners help destroy ruined cities and towns, so that when new communities arrive they can resettle the area.

Deamons Of Zalsz

Gorgons are the deamons of Zalsz. These are reptilian creatures, with long snaking hair. The gorgons are quite possibly the most feared deamons on Heimr. They have the ability to stop time in a limited area. Anyone who is in this area will appear frozen in place. They can maintain this effect as long as the gorgon is physically present on Heimr. If the gorgon was particularly powerful, the effect may last for years, even centuries after their destruction.

Feasts

The start of a new year is the most important festival for worshippers of Zalsz. During this festival, old calendars are burned together with colourful images of clocks to symbolize the destruction of an old year and the creation of a new one.

Mandate of Zalsz

Apart from the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=General%20mandate%20of%20the%20gods&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="AXyiRsjNzP9icKnsWU8TVE6H7Pxa10AkNnVyswAtuHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> Zalsz has expressed the following wishes from her followers.

General Zalsz

Do not cause time paradoxes

Track the passage of time

Make new improved iterations of things that exist

Destroy things that have outlived their purpose

Good Zalsz

Use machines to efficiently help those around you

Destroy things that harm other beings. It is often said that he captured her heart by triggering her protective motherly feelings when she saw how scared Ranimsul was, for nothing really.

Tradition

Traditions are not created for nothing, they form around a need, or an old treaty, or a warning of things. They give a culture it's personality and should not be discarded lightly. Any gathering of people almost automatically and surprisingly quickly form their unique set of traditions, from subtle and unconscious to dramatic and written down. Worshippers of Uastra often catalogue traditions and pray to Uastra for a healthy and beneficial set when a new gathering takes place.

Harvest

Uastra is the goddess of harvest. Probably the most prayed for thing in the entirety of Heimr is a bountiful harvest of crops. Some farmers, especially elven farmers, pay lip service to Uastra every single day when they go to work but most simply pray to Uastra just before the harvest season in a grand mass to Uastra. Because this is the most prominent way to pray within Heimr it has also been the most studied. Several studies by several institutions have time and again proven that praying to Uastra seems to help improve the harvest, but they disagree wildly about whether or not the additional harvest is worth the sacrifices made to Uastra during the worship.

Preservation

Preservation is of course closely linked to "tradition" but it has a place of it's own in the religion. Preservation also speaks of closely cataloguing history. It speaks of physically taking care of your elders because they have wisdom that needs preserving for as long as possible. It also speaks of repairing an old home instead of building a new one, repairing a broken relationship instead of finding a new partner and repairing a sick company instead of sacking everybody and diving into a new market. People that need help doing these things or people that restore old artwork for instance often pray to Uastra. People that want to preserve their youthful appearance also pray to Uastra.

Evil vurses Good

The moral duality of Uastra stems from the clear line of where "preservation of the old" ends and "destruction of the new" begins. Worshippers of Uastra, both good and evil, often want the same thing and relatively rarely fight but their methods are highly different.

Good Worshipping methods

Uastra is often worshipped as part of traditional activities. Ploughing fields with traditional tools, preparing food in the way your ancestors did it, building houses in traditional styles, these can all be considered methods of worshipping Uastra. She will often be asked to give her blessing to those who respect the traditions. This way of life goes hand in hand with preserving the environment the way it was. If you cut down a tree, you plant another one. if something breaks, you ensure that it is restored to it's old state. This is the way of life Uastra represents.

Evil Worshipping methods

Evil worshippers of Uastra focused on uprooting the new. They are destructive to the extreme. Those who do not respect tradition are offered to the satyr, and anyone those attempting to make major changes to the environment might find themselves visited by the evil worshippers of Uastra. They are not above destroying young towns and replanting the forests in the corpses of it's settlers, or brutally assassinating progressive politicians.

Symbols

Uastra her colours are green and yellow, symbolizing the harvest and natural things. A bearded goat is associated with Uastra due to it's connection both with old things and the harvest. Pressed wheat and other major crops are obvious symbols of the harvest as are seeds and scythes. Old relevant records are also often dragged from dusty archives to be present at important rituals. Those records are however never sacrifesed and carefully places back in storage afterwards. The last symbol often used is anything associated with local customs or tradition, these vary from location to location.

Uastra is often depicted as a forever young elven girl holding a small scythe. Sometimes she is sitting on a stack of old book or records. In a popular image of her she is comically looking menacingly at a goat that is eating a piece of a record beneath her while sharpening her scythe. She often wears a natural dress of wheat or grass fabric. In most locally sold images of Uastra she is performing, enacting or symbolizing a local tradition and acts as a reminder to the locals. These are usually carvings in wood and can often be found in elven kitchens and living spaces.

Uastra has few nicknames, most worshippers refuse to call her anything but Uastra. But she has a few that stuck: "Preserver", "Reminder" and "Harvest lady". Making new nicknames and titles of Uastra is usually frowned upon unless they are very old local customs.

Angels Of Uastra

As her angels, Uastra created the scarecrow. They sit in the fields, often for years or centuries preserving the fertility of the land, and ensuring a bountiful harvest. Scarecrows can take many shapes or forms. Uastra's scarecrows do not only protect the harvest from birds. They protect the farm from those who want to disturb this ancient way of life. Mortals often build scarecrow bodies in hopes that an angel of Uastra will animate it in times of need.

Deamons Of Uastra

Her demons, the Satyr, are male humanoids who have goat horns and legs. They lure travellers with their magic flute play and than play them to sleep. Ranimsul is often asked to instil caution in loved ones during prayer. Wives that see their husbands leave to perform dangerous undertakings often pray to Ranimsul in this manner; but equally appropriate would be a parent prayer to temper their children carefree spirits.

Diplomacy

Diplomacy is the virtue and skill instilled by Ranimsul to ensure a cautionary approach concerning social battlefields. Scared infantry soldiers oft pray to Ranimsul to avert any confrontation when the highborn are meeting in between two armies. A parent trying to separate squabbling siblings might be equally prompted to pray to Ranimsul.

Resolve

Tenacity is often prayed for when people are determined to try something that they know will test the extent of their willpower and composure. In such situations worshippers often show fortitude to Ranismsul in the form of night long ceremonial vigils to symbolize their planned resolve in the face of whatever challenge awaits them.

Good versus Evil

Some people are cautious because they want to protect the ones they love. Other people are cautious because they have evil to hide. This moral duality is what splits Ranimsul in two halves. Diplomacy can be used to dodge violence but it can also be used to build trust so as to take advantage of the naive. Resolve is equally a tool that can be used for both good and evil.

Cells of good and evil Ranimsul worshippers wage a strange and dancelike bloody war of infiltration and betrayal, almost universally and infinity slow to completely trust one another; but using ever present diplomacy to try and achieve it. Sleeper agents can lay dormant for decades; even saving members of the other side only to later betray and kill several cells at ones when everybody trusts them.

Symbols

The colours black and grey symbolize the sneaky and cautious nature of Ranimsul and contrast with the colours of <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Ganinisum&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="8SWWzaA1jgAY243fkJ6g16XlQsOUui3z0TOFjf0qyQw"></drupal-filter-placeholder>. Tortoise are an obvious symbol of caution. Golemers are often though to symbolize caution in the same way, but golemers are not cautious nor diplomatic at all; fighting and hunting quite aggressively. The true follower of Ranimsul realizes that the golemer symbolizes the fact that "you need to even be wary of rocks". Cloaks and daggers contrasted by contracts and peace treaties symbolize the need for diplomacy and the need for caution during diplomacy. Bowls or rags filled with fresh sweat are symbols of resolve; worshippers sometimes work themselves into a frenzy to produce the sweat needed for rituals. The only true "musical instrument" of Ranimsul is the alarm bell. The last oft used symbol for Ranimsul is a dark moon hidden in mist.

Ranimsul himself is often depicted as the silhouette of a male halfling, sneaking around various monsters. Humorously he is sometimes depicted as a smiling halfing sneaking out the back door while his wife <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Uastra&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="_olc5KYIWjr9nA8ZlzT5k-VNW03zp6qjcJnPKcDcOko"></drupal-filter-placeholder>, is looking for him. When not depicted as a silhouette he often wears a grey cloak and black thigh fitting clothing, his face generally hidden in shadows or behind an animal mask; usually a tortoise.

Ranimsul has few nicknames but some examples are "The sneak", "tree lady" and "tower toppler". These nicknames sound strange to outsiders but stem from the old, discredited, belief that all angels and demons of Ranimsul are actually Ranimsul himself in disguise, due to the rarity that these sneaky divine beings are witnessed.

Angels Of Ranimsul

His Angels, the Dryad, are said to be the least seen of the Angels, some mortals even believe that every sighting of a Dryad was actually Ranimsul in disguise. They live in the middle of the forest and are the heart of it. They keep a close eye on the evolution of the plants and animals of Heimr, knowing that the slightest disturbance in balance could destroy an ecosystem, these treewalking females with bark like skin actively destroy flora and fauna that evolves too fast, and protect the rare species by stopping hunters and gatherers, first by warning, than by force, and if that fails they will try to seduce them, luring them away from the particular plant or beast.

Deamons Of Ranimsul

His demons, the kobolds, are the weakest demon, their cruel brothers, the goblin, often pick fights with them, that the kobolds try to avoid. Kobolds are experts at hiding in caves. People living near mountains are often in danger of kobold attacks. Kobolds will often try to destroy cities by causing landslides or snowy avalanches. They hack and gnaw away at mountain sides until it collapses on unsuspecting villagers. Mortals in fear of such assaults might send diplomats towards nearby caves to talk to the cave walls in the of chance that kobolds are listening. Kobolds look like greasy hairy small slippery humanoids with milky white skin. In communities where evil worship of Ranimsul is more generally accepted they are sometimes kept as slaves by the decadent noble families, kept in line by ritual magic and faustian diplomatic contracts; helping with domestic chores.

Mandate of Ranimsul

Apart from the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=General%20mandate%20of%20the%20gods&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="AXyiRsjNzP9icKnsWU8TVE6H7Pxa10AkNnVyswAtuHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> Ranimsul has expressed the following wishes from her followers.

General Ranimsul

Be careful

Good Ranimsul

Evade conflict with diplomacy

Evil Ranimsul

Use diplomacy to gain the trust of the naive

Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 03-08-2009 17:27 Mon, 03 Aug 2009 15:27:07 +0000 Anonymous 822 at https://heimr.nl https://heimr.nl/setting/ranimsul#comments Vanessa https://heimr.nl/setting/vanessa Vanessa
Vanessa, the temptress, is the goddess of pleasure, seduction and travel. Pleasure, mainly sexual pleasure, is a thing all races long for in some way. Many worshippers ask for pleasure to cross their path. Some races hold great ceremonies that often end in pleasurable orgies and similar activities.

Seduction

Seduction, is mainly prayed for in the form of talent. To seduce a potential mate worshippers turn to Vanessa for guidance. Many priests dedicated to this specific aspect of Vanessa are highly trained in the art of seduction and always willing to teach this for a price.

Travel

As her mother takes care over the seafarers Vanessa is said to protect the travellers of land and sea alike. Some say it is the nature of her race that compelled Vanessa to bless watch over those who travel. Now in almost every inn along the larger roads are shrines dedicated to Vanessa. Small trinkets like bracelets and amulets bearing a symbol of Vanessa are often sold to passing travellers.

Good versus Evil

Good worshippers of pleasure often come together to have pleasurable orgies and indulge in other pleasures such as intimate massages and high quality food. Evil worshippers seek to spread STD's and often have gruesome sadistic fetishes in which they indulge at the expense of others.
Seduction itself is neither good nor evil but many worshippers see the way the skill is used as a good or evil deed. Good worshippers seduce a mate and fornicate and procreate. Evil worshippers seduce others into allies to get robbed or murdered. Others will use seduction to acquire positions of power. Travellers will either meet the goodwill or the wrath of Vanessa's worshippers who will either rape, mutilate or protect wanderers.

Symbols

Vanessa's colour is crimson Red.
Her symbolic animal is the peacock.
Her instrument is the music box or any other form of automated music.
Vanessa is often depicted as a blond haired nymph women with wide hips and a narrow waist. Pictures and paintings of Vanessa rarely draw her in clothes. Often she is depicted leaning seductively against a tree on the other side of a road.
Symbols for Vanessa are the private parts of both men an women. Small statues of the races bend in seductive ways and symbols of shoes and paths. Whips and other tools used in sadomasochistic play are also seen as symbols to Vanessa.
Nicknames for Vanessa are: Queen of seduction, The greatest of pleasure, Protector of travellers.

Angels Of Vanessa

Her Angels, the faun, are really just friendly Satyr They sing and play people to sleep, but just so they can rest. In a faun sleep you heal a lot faster. The Faun don't have any duties, do to their lazy lives. But just as their Satyr counterparts, they hold wild feasts.

Daemons Of Vanessa

The harpies are Vanessa's daemons. They are winged nymph-like creatures that soar through the sky, unleashing Vanessa's displeasure by ripping her enemies apart. Harpies often attack in flocks of dozens or sometimes even hundreds. A flock of harpies searing across the sky is a terrifying sight. Harpies have a particular hatred for virgins.

Mandate of Vanessa

Apart from the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=General%20mandate%20of%20the%20gods&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="AXyiRsjNzP9icKnsWU8TVE6H7Pxa10AkNnVyswAtuHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> Vanessa has expressed the following wishes from her followers.

General Vanessa

Indulge

Travel the world

Good Vanessa

Seduce others into indulging

Evil Vanessa

Indulge at the expense of others

Restrict the travel of others

Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 03-08-2009 17:27 Mon, 03 Aug 2009 15:27:07 +0000 Anonymous 821 at https://heimr.nl https://heimr.nl/setting/vanessa#comments Wana https://heimr.nl/setting/wana Wana
Wana is the first <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Ogre&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="xGo_pecZdfZUd-ucNQasHmBd6ZiFMGgyHPGloBmj79w"></drupal-filter-placeholder>. Wana is considered to be the best hunter, capable of single-handedly taking down mammoths and other huge creatures. The hunting aspect of Wana is often called upon before or during a hunt, to help find good prey. Some worshippers pray to Wana to bless their spears to strike true or bless their snares to catch better prey. The aspect of hunting is often combined with slaughter after the hunt, when the result of the hunt is slaughtered. Sometimes one animal will be slaugtered and left out in the open to spread disease. Some Ogre tribed will do this before anyone eats, recognising Wana as the strongest Ogre who should be the first to eat.

Disease

Although Wana is primarily known for the spreading of diseases, many mortals still pray to Wana when they or their close companions fall ill. They believe Wana will help them overcome the disease. Others are more active worshippers of Wana and spread diseases on purpose - either by infecting themselves and surviving the infection, or by asking for creatures or settlements to be infected with disease as a preparation for slaughter. Many active worshippers of Wana see the spreading and survival of disease as a good thing, that makes their group stronger.

Slaughter

Slaughter is the aspect of Wana most commonly considered to be wholly evil. Yet as with most such things, this is primarily due to the worshippers and how they worship. The most prominent and easy way to worship slaughter is to simply slaughter everything you come across. Indeed, a large number of Ogre tribes devoted to Wana follow this principle. Yet others see it differently. Commanders dedicated to Wana will often try their best to make sure the battles they fight become massacres, dedicating all the slaughter involved to Wana. However, as mentioned above, there are also more subtle ways of slaughter. Ritual slaughter of game caught during a hunt is one of these methods. Ritual slaughter of crippled, injured or otherwise weak game is often seen as good even.

Good versus Evil

Wana is considered by many to be the most evil godess on Heimr. This is primarily due to the relative difficulty of good worship of two of her portfolio items, disease and slaughter. There are many Ogre tribes and other being dedicated to the evil forms of Slaughter worship, yet the good worship is more subtle and less wide spread. Many mortals consider the simple fact of disease and spreading thereof to be an evil thing, not believing the tales of good worshippers that spreading disease makes a group stronger.

Symbols:

Wana worshippers often wear or depict the colours red and green. The obvious animal symbolizing Wana is the rat. Guts, limbs, decapitated heads and other body parts and gore is often used to decorate Wana her altars. Blood is an easy to use product of slaughter often used in rituals. Clothing that has been bloodied in a fight is seen as an easy mark of Wana. Vomit, puss, bile, excrements and other bodily fluids are also often used in rituals associated with Wana. Large and primitive drums are instruments associated with Wana; sometimes several rocks banged together are enough tool for Wana worshippers to create all the music they would ever want.

Wana herself is usually depicted as a primitively drawn voluptuous ogre woman with large breasts and prominent genitalia. Many small clay figures exist depicting Wana in this manner. In more sophisticated depictions Wana is almost always wounded, oozing puss and blood, but proudly standing and ignoring the injury. Usually she is standing on or towering over a slaughtered and mutilated foe or large game, sometimes eating a limb from the fallen foe. When depicted clothed she wears raw furs on her body, sometimes even still bloody from the fresh hunt.

Wana has many nicknames; some more prominent examples are: "Fleshgobbler", "Butcher of the World" "The Black Death", "The Plague", "The Huntress".

A list of bodily "fluids" used in rituals of Wana (many priests have their "favourites"):

Sweat

Urine
representing her good side. They are large rats, ranging in size from that of a halfling to twice the size of a human. They usually walk on two legs, though some will use four legs for added speed. Others have arms and hands that can hold and use weapons and other tools. Unlike their common brethren, Ratmen are meat eaters and have a meat-eater's teeth. Ratmen delight in hunting and spreading diseases, often hunting down those they consider evil and spreading diseases affecting only those same evil people.

Daemons of Wana

Goblins are the daemons of Wana. They are greeish-brown humanoids with generally pointed features. They delight in hunting and slaughtering those too weak to defend themselves - children, pregnant women, elderly people. Most goblins are fairly weak, but they are very numerous, hunting in packs of twenty or more. Sometimes whole armies of goblins roam around Heimr, sacking villages and towns and leaving a large trail of destruction and slaughter. It can be quite hard to get rid of these armies, as the goblins are cunning tacticians that prefer hit and run tactics to pitched battles. Thus, the army will sooner break apart into smaller hunting squads than face a well-trained foe in the open.

Mandate of Wana

Apart from the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=General%20mandate%20of%20the%20gods&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="AXyiRsjNzP9icKnsWU8TVE6H7Pxa10AkNnVyswAtuHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> Wana has expressed the following wishes from her followers.

General Wana

Hunt others

When hunted: fight to the last breath, be a challenge, no matter your chances.

Good Wana

Help others survive diseases

Evil Wana

Slaughter others

Spread diseases

Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 03-08-2009 17:27 Mon, 03 Aug 2009 15:27:07 +0000 Anonymous 820 at https://heimr.nl https://heimr.nl/setting/wana#comments Ganinisum https://heimr.nl/setting/ganinisum Ganinisum
Ganinisum, the joyful, the prank god, the jester god. A general feeling that caution in not needed because you are amongst friends. The masks of social conventions can be cast to the sideline. The strict rules of diplomacy can be dumped from the two story high window as neighbours that complain about the noise are generally simply invited to join the merriment. Organizers of parties and get togethers often invoke Ganinisum to lead them into making the occasion as stress free as possible.

Humour

All jokes aside, Ganinisum takes his humour very seriously. Humour is the only thing strict Ganinisum followers truly take seriously, often spending years developing their signature joke or prank that has the best effect on people; some people go as far as to develop variations on their personal signature joke depending on general mood of the crowd or even races that they are amongst. Other worshippers take a different approach, spending years learning as many jokes and amusing anecdotes as they can so they never run out of stories to tell at meetings. Verbal entertainers often pray to Ganinisum before a performance.

Civilisation

Civil conduct is the basis of a relaxed safe environment. Outside dangers to the civilisation must be dealt with quickly and thoroughly so the members of the civilisation can get back to the enjoyment of life as soon as possible without fear of repeat. Civilisation is a portfolio asset that Ganinisum gained inspired by the rigged communes that Gataur structured for the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Tellurian&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="7CxgPR-PLdEIPrkeqTilOL1Z5pnGqjUPjDOE3u2vNAQ"></drupal-filter-placeholder>. People that tame nature to make way for civilization to spread, often invoke the help of Ganinisum. This might include people that burn down patches of forests to create arable land. Or people that build roads that link different communities together into civilisation itself.

Good versus Evil

Ganinisum is primarily a good deity. There is far more positive than negative energy surrounding the worshippers of the prankster god. Evil worship of Ganinisum is highly disorganized and rare. Conflict between worshippers of Ganinisum is even less common.

Good Worshipping methods

The gnome worship Ganinisum by working hard by day, keeping their early forms of technology up to date and strengthening civilization. By contrast they party hard at night, hoping to draw the attention of a trivelin to liven up their life. Party goers often drink to Ganinisum, or dedicate their plays to him.

Evil Worshipping methods

Worshippers of Ganinisum's evil often have eating disorders, drinking problems, walk a thin line between "good joke" and "Deadly joke" and often lack the sense of humour. Formal cults are extremely rare, and Ganinisum cultists are often individuals who don't even call on Ganinisum himself, they just do what a Ganinisum cultist would do, and others call them that.

Symbols

The colours orange and yellow capture the joyfull nature of Ganinisum and contrast nicely with the colours of <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=Ranimsul&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="sx2vHzQGszksSeXwLjveVUGNY04lvxJEC4gtGq0qY0o"></drupal-filter-placeholder>. Cats and dogs as the most "homely" animals are often depicted in rituals and altars of Ganinisum, more rarely they also include chickens. Small colourful flags, children, laughter and jingle bells are often used to symbolize the celebratory nature of Ganinisum. it is a rare occasion that a ritual of Ganinisum is not "child-safe".

Ganinisum is often depicted as a sly, happy, laughing, dancing gnome in colourful clothing. Often times he also wears an mask of a cat or dog but rarely covering his face, more often discarded around his neck, on top of his head or around an arm somewhere. He is also sometimes seen sitting with a circle of children around him, obviously telling a joke to the laughing youth.

Nicknames and titles for Ganinisum include "The prankster god", "The jester god", "God of fun", "The joyful" and "The glow of laughter".

Angels Of Ganinisum

As his angels, Ganinisum created the trivelin. These are clownesk figures with skin that looks like a patchy suite of many different colours. The trivelin like to make people laugh with humorous actions and jokes. They sometimes simply barge into good parties, materializing right before the front door; climaxing the spirit of the party to new divine heights.

Deamons Of Ganinisum

Ganinisum's deamons are the doppelgänger. These creatures are masters of disguise. They can flawlessly imitate any mortal being, and are even able to imitate divine beings in a way that even convinces other divine creatures. Doppelgänger use this ability to infiltrate those they wish to hurt and play cruel pranks on them. They will very often kill the person who they pretend to be, to delay discovery of their true nature.

Mandate of Ganinisum

Apart from the <drupal-filter-placeholder callback="freelinking.manager:createFreelinkElement" arguments="0=nodetitle&1=General%20mandate%20of%20the%20gods&2=nodetitle&3=en&4=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetitle%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22nodetypes%22%3Ba%3A5%3A%7Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3Bs%3A5%3A%22event%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22layout_page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A12%3A%22news_article%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3Bs%3A4%3A%22page%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%220%22%3B%7Ds%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3B%7D%7D&5=a%3A3%3A%7Bs%3A6%3A%22plugin%22%3Bs%3A23%3A%22freelinking_prepopulate%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22enabled%22%3Bb%3A1%3Bs%3A8%3A%22settings%22%3Ba%3A2%3A%7Bs%3A8%3A%22failover%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22search%22%3Bs%3A17%3A%22default_node_type%22%3Bs%3A9%3A%22wiki_page%22%3B%7D%7D" token="AXyiRsjNzP9icKnsWU8TVE6H7Pxa10AkNnVyswAtuHY"></drupal-filter-placeholder> Ganinisum has expressed the following wishes from her followers.

General Ganinisum

Have fun

Good Ganinisum

Bring fun to others

Evil Ganinisum

Make fun of others

Have fun at the expense of others

Anonymous (not verified) Mon, 03-08-2009 17:27 Mon, 03 Aug 2009 15:27:07 +0000 Anonymous 819 at https://heimr.nl https://heimr.nl/setting/ganinisum#comments
