A sheller is a crab like creature that lives in a strong shell exoskeleton. It eats small desert plants and walks on many tiny legs. If travellers sleep in an open tent in the desert they are sometimes completely covered by shellers when they wake up. The shellers are probably only trying to get warm in the cold desert nights, but some people say it is a curse, and predict you will die within a year if this happens to you.
