Asgardian Flanker

The flanker is a serpentine omnivore, propelled on two long, muscular legs. Its head is extremely narrow, little more than a slender snout with eyes, from which a tongue several metres long flicks and darts. With this tongue it can taste the sligtest scent from far away. They have glittering eyes that seem full of loving intelligence. They are vicious when roused, though, thier tongues lashing like whips, their clawed feet kicking and eviscerating.

Hundreds of flankers roam in the mesas deep inland, running where they please. Like birds on the wing, they migrate across the pastures, suddenly altering direction en masse as some whim takes them, shifting colour from soft blue to pale purple and gentle ochres.

A cunning Fae or Elf can lure a Flanker with some shiny gemstone. Also, small streams flow through the Asgardian Northern plains, and from these gentle streams the Flanker drink. At these times they are distracted and vulnerable, and most likely to be caught and to be trained as a mount.
