The difference between wild gnomes and normal gnomes is that wild gnomes still live in tribes instead of being citizens of a state or kingdom. These tribes migrated from the rivers of Midgard into the wild forests or mountains of Midgard or into the neighbouring wild patches of land outside Midgard. Like the desert, jungle, plains or swamp regions contested over by Asgardian and Utgardian armies. Some of these tribes have actively joined either side of the war and frequently skirmishes with convoys or armies from the opposing side.
Gnomes still tend to stick close to rivers.
Wild gnomes are tribes of hunters like the Gnomes of old. Their tinkering traps and hunting devices are legendary and their teeth are sharper than the teeth of the average Midgardian gnome, better fitting to ripping of meat like the gnomes of old. They are also being reduced in numbers and get increasingly more rare.
